31 Days: Day 1 – Writing an Elevator Pitch
Throughout these 31 Days to Building a Better Blog I will be updating you with how I am getting on. Now obviously I don’t want to give away the whole book, or there would be no point in you buying it! Therefore I will be posting short bits about each day activities and I will explain how I got on with them, but if you would like to know more, please buy the book.
Writing an Elevator Pitch for Your Blog
Day 1 is quite an easy one for me – Creating an Elevator Pitch – I’ve always had an idea about what my blog should be, and what I want it to be, so I figured I should be able to write this pitch quite easily.
Profit Duck’s Main Points
Firstly I set out the main points about what my blog is;
- A Business Resource
- A Learning Resource
- Entrepreneurial Journey
- Make Money Online
- Niche Websites
My Pitch
One I had these set out I could look into them more and try and decide how to link these together within a little sentence or two.
Profit Duck is about a young entrepreneur’s journey of learning about business and creating a resource for others. Watch his successes and failures in real life business and the world of making money online through niche websites, and use this to avoid the mistakes in your own adventures. Learn what to do. Learn how to do it. Learn why I have done it. When will you know enough?
Although it was recommended to go with an elevator pitch which was a bit longer, I quite liked what I came up with, so at the moment, this is what I’m sticking with.
Day 1 Complete
I completed day one in a short space of time, but it really made me think about what I am trying to achieve and it gave me confidence in what my website is about, as I could quickly think of some key points and wasn’t confused about what I was actually doing this blog for.
Let me know how you did.
