6 Free Marketing Techniques for a Start-up Business
When you are a starting up business you probably won’t have much money. Even if you do, you’ll most likely be using it in starting the business and getting all of the equipment instead of doing massive marketing campaigns. However, you do need to market a business to get it started and this is where lots of money can be spent, unless that is you use the follow list I have put together.
Marketing doesn’t have to break the budget; you can have some simple advertising for a very small amount of money, even free. As long as it gets your name out there and gets some customers in, it’s worth it.
The 6 Free Marketing Techniques
Make a Facebook Group – A Facebook group is completely free to set up and very easy to make. Once it has been made, make a few friends and family members join the group. This will put the groups name on every one of their friends news feeds. When people see it, they may click it and see your business, or they may even join. An easy viral affect to get free advertising.
Tell Your Friends – One of the most obvious. Telling your friends will not only make them aware that you could be of use to them, either through a service, or they want to buy your product. As well as this your friends are likely to talk about you and your company when talking to others, this equals another viral affect.
Do a Good Job – If you do a good job, sell a good product then word will spread and you have yourself a great marketing technique. Therefore always make sure that you do a good job!
Write Your Company Name and Web Address Everywhere You Go – When you see some paper anywhere write your company name and web address down. People will see and remember it and some will go on your website and find out more information about your company.
Wear Your Company Name and URL – Putting your company name and URL on some items of cloths can be an easy way to make people remember your name and maybe look more into it.
Set-up a Twitter Account – Setting up a Twitter account won’t do much by itself, but if you use it effectively then you may be in for a lot more business coming your way. Add people in similar fields and then start conversations with them. Even if you don’t get actual customers from this, you could learn a lot and making friends in the same line of work is very important, especially when your business grows.
If you have any more marketing techniques I would love to hear them in the comments section below.
