I’m Simon Duck and currently I’m a full-time student studying Computing and Management. I’ve been around on the internet making websites for a while now, but only recently became obsessed with how businesses work, why they work and how to make them work better so that more profit is made.

Where It All Began

I can’t remember the exact date, or even year, that I started making websites in. I was young and just egger to experiment with this new phenomenon. I started making websites because I wanted a place where I could talk to online friends, I knew that IM existed and such, but I wanted somewhere where we could have more of a persona and create community. For the first couple of years I was all about forums and trying to create a buzz of my own, somewhere which I created where people would come to chat about certain topics. I was, hmm…, kind of successful, I had a good group of people and it was slowly expanding, but as with all teenagers, my mind was always changing and the topics that I had started these websites in were no longer relevant.

I therefore had one last attempt and made a simple news websites, this is where I first started earning some money online and obviously I was over the moon, and at the same time confused as I didn’t think this was even possible.

Before I go any further. This website is not another blog about ‘Making Money Online’, yes there are some articles about it, but this mainly about making money through businesses, however they are operated and also how I am making money and plan on making money.

On With the Story…

So I had made a few quid and I was going crazy, thinking I was amazing and nothing could stop me. In all honesty though, that was where it stopped. I didn’t make anymore money after the two sponsorships I got. As well as this my education started to take over more, so I stopped doing the website. I still kept a couple of websites going over the next couple of years, but all-in-all they were just places for me to store files, play around and experiment.

Profit Duck

Late in 2009 I wanted to get back into the game. I had been reading a lot in my time out of the game and consequently was much more prepared to take on the online world.

Profit Duck was created.
