January Objectives – Slow and Steady
We’re nearly a week into 2012 already and everything is already looking up. I’m getting more visitors each day on average than I was doing at the end of last year and I’m feeling much more confident that I can expand on what I already know to get closer to the goals I have been striving to reach.
For the next year, and hopefully thereafter, I will be posting my objectives for each month. Not only will these give me something to tick off, but it will give you an idea of what I am up to during that month and how I am doing. As well as this, it lets join in with target setting and achieving.
January – A slow start, but a warm up to the following months.
I mentioned this in my yearly targets, but for more detail… I have a lot of work to-do during January and the start of February, as I have exams starting near the end of January and going into the next month. This means that Profit Duck isn’t my main target, but that does not mean I will be cutting corners with trying to grow the website, it just means I am taking a step back on the development of my other websites and the nitty-gritty aspects here.
This month’s targets are going to be sharp, they are going to be small and they are going to be angelic. Nothing too serious, but objectives which will get 2012 off to a good start, so that I have a firm base for building upon…
The List
- Comment on at least 5 other websites a day. – A small target, but as I have other work to-do throughout the day, this gives me an opportunity to market myself, but not take up too much time.
- Reply to all comments made from the day before – This will allow me to show that I’m not just a commenter who comes, leaves their link and then goes again. I want to engage with the other readers. This is why I will also only be commenting on articles I feel I can add something too.
- Post 3 times a week – An objective which will be in nearly every monthly target setting article, but one which is good to have there as I want to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Link up and improve 5 articles a week – To try and increase my SEO and make sure that older articles are up to standard, I will be going through all my posts and linking them up with new ones and also editing them so that they are at a better standard. This will also allow me to see any errors encountered due to the hacking attempt.
- Tweet 3 times a day – Some days I don’t tweet at all, because I have nothing to say, some days I’ll tweet a fair few times. I would like to tweet at least 3 a day, all with useful, relevant information.
January in a Nutshell
Overall I want January to be a simple month, one which I only allow lots of time to focus on my revision and then relaxing to make sure my head doesn’t get too full! I’ve made a plan to make sure I get this all done, and I will stick to it.
Here’s to January. Let’s make it a productive one!
